Ghost in the Shell is a futuristic story where most people are mechanically enhanced and the cities are over crowded. The story focuses on a police team trying to capture a hacker named the Puppet Master.
Well this is a good example that it is possible to screw up a shore thing. If you have read the comic you will know what I am on about.
The comic version had Shirow's great character and mecha designs, lots of action and a very complex story line.
The anime on the other hand has ugly character designs, almost no mecha, and a simplified story line.
Who is the one I should punch out? Maybe it is due to Manga's involvement, but they claim to have funded its production, so is it the directors fault? I may never figure this question out.
Well Manga did put loads of money in this anime and it shows the animation is of the best quality around. But well everything else is crap, the music even sucks.
This was pushed by Manga a lot and one belives they were hoping it would be the second Akira. I think not!
All of the score goes to animation nothing else. Read the manga!
